VN SERIES WATER SOFTENERS

OPTIONS

  • TIMERS. Standard models include 12-day timers. Seven-day timers are available at no extra cost. The demand regeneration system includes the Model 7000 Controller which has a built in cycle timer.
  • DEMAND INITIATION. Regeneration may also be initiated based on the total quantity of water treated by the softener. The VN Series demand regeneration system uses the Model 7000 Controller and the Badger Brass meter with an AR/t transmitter.
  • SKID MOUNTED units on welded structural steel frames are pre-piped, wired, and factory tested. Installation requires simple plumbing connections to the manifold inlet and outlet, a drain and brine connection, electrical connection, and loading of the tanks.
  • PRESSURE GAGES AND TEST TAPS can be installed on the inlet and outlet of the system by inserting appropriate fittings in the face piping. This allows the user to sample the inlet andoutlet water quality and to monitor pressure losses through the system.
  • POWER. Standard electrical specifications are 120 VAC, 60 Hz. A 220 VAC, 50 Hz configuration is available.
  • ASME CODE TANKS are available.

NOTES:

  1. Allowable continuous flow is flow at 15 psi max head loss or 10 gpm/ft3 whichever is less.
  2. Allowable peak flow is flow at 25 psi max head loss or 15 gpm/ft3 whichever is less.
  3. Brining efficiency at 0.26 Kgr/lb of salt applied. Assumes 90% utilization of capacity.
  4. Brining efficiency at 0.47 Kgr/lb of salt applied. Assumes 90% utilization of capacity.
  5. Six-inch diaphragm valves require Humphrey pilot valves.
