RF AND
BF SYSTEM PACKAGING
Water King offers two
types of packaging for RF and BF Softener / Filter systems:
The Low Volume Packaging
option is an option designed to reduce the total volume of the shipment,
therefore reducing shipping charges. These savings are especially
useful in International and overseas shipments.
The table below shows an
example of the difference between Standard and Low Volume Packaging for
an RF-50-Simplex softener:

MF and
VN SYSTEM PACKAGING
Standard Packaging for MF
and VN steel tank systems
FOR
SYSTEMS THAT ARE NOT SKID MOUNTED: |

Vessels ship with
internals and face piping mounted
-
Face piping
includes TaskMaster III or diaphragm valve nest, and shut-off
kits or super flow kits
-
For MF, the
TaskMaster III is mounted and preprogrammed. For VN, the
stager controllers are in separate electrical enclosure which
ships loose.

Tubing is provided
in kit form, and is installed by others
-
Stager controllers
are mounted by others and power must be run to the boxes.
Local area disconnects are not standard
-
Flow meters ship
loose and is installed by others
-
Media ships on
separate pallets. Depending on quantity there may be more
than one pallet of resin. Loose parts may be shipped on
top of resin pallet.

Gravel and resin
may be combined or separate depending upon the size of the
system.

Brine tanks ship
upright on separate pallet
-
Parts kits such as
pressure gauges, test tap kits, and flow meters are often placed
in the brine tank to conserve space and protect the parts.

SKID MOUNTED SYSTEMS: |

Skids are banded
to custom wood pallets

Skids have slots
for forklift access or may have lifting eyes depending upon
project specs

Piping and wiring
is installed on the skid

Media is shipped
on separate pallet and must be installed by others

Pressure gauge and
test tap kits are shipped loose, usually in the brine tank, and
must be installed by others

Brine tank may be
mounted on the skid or shipped loose, depending upon the system
specifications and size

If brine tank is
shipped loose, the brine line must be connected by others

Controllers are
